Everyday Problems

All three scenarios demonstrate some of the everyday problems leaders face in the workplace. Problems come in all shapes and sizes. Regardless of the size or nature of the issue, most of these problems share the following characteristics:

  1. You could approach the problem in various and very different ways, but the best option is not always obvious or apparent.
  2. The problem disrupts workplace performance, productivity, motivation, alignment, operations, or sales.
  3. Employees look to you for direction and support with brainstorming, evaluating, and choosing effective solutions.

Everyday-Problems

The bottom line: Unresolved problems create barriers to your team’s and company’s success. That’s why leaders must learn to prevent, identify, and solve problems promptly and effectively.

No Workplace Is Immune

Regardless of the kind of industry, organization, or team you’re a part of, every workplace will face occasional setbacks and challenges. The objective of this course isn’t to make your business problem-free—as wonderful as that would be. Instead, you’ll learn how to marshal the individual and collective skills, mindsets, and processes to deal with problems effectively.

“Leadership is solving problems. The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them. They have either lost confidence that you can help or concluded you do not care. Either case is a failure of leadership.”

Colin Powell
